How to fix a pre-order campaign stuck on processing or updating Purchase Options?

If your Early Bird pre-order campaign gets stuck showing "Processing" or "Updating purchase options" and won't enable or disable - this typically happens when you select a product for your pre-order campaign, then delete that product from your Shopify store. When Early Bird tries to publish or update the campaign, it gets stuck trying to find the deleted product.

How to Fix It:

Steps:

  1. Visit the specific pre-order campaign that's stuck in processing
  2. Make any small change to the campaign (e.g. Editing the campaign name)
  3. Click "Save"
  4. This action will clear out the deleted products from the campaign
  5. Your campaign should now be able to publish normally

How to Avoid This Issue:

Before deleting any products from your Shopify store, make sure to first:

  • Disable any active Early Bird pre-order campaigns with that product
  • Remove the product from the pre-order campaign
  • Then delete the product from Shopify
