Why isn't Early Bird working on my theme?

The simplest way to resolve this is to contact support and we can connect Early Bird to your theme for you. If you'd like to resolve this yourself, here are a few things to check if you're not seeing Early Bird appear on your theme.

Early Bird App Embed

Firstly, check if you have activated the Early Bird app embed on your published theme and click the Save button. You should see a banner prompting you to do this on the Early Bird dashboard if you haven't already.

Ensure you click Save after activating the app embed, or it won't work on your theme.

Publish Pre-order Campaign

If you're setting up a pre-order campaign, ensure you have selected the relevant product/s, saved your changes and then clicked the Publish campaign button to go live. It may take a minute to publish and appear on your store.

Also ensure your campaign Start date is in the past and hasn't reached its End date. The campaign status badge should be green and say Active if everything is running correctly.

Activate Back-orders

If you're trying to set up back-orders on your theme, ensure you have chosen the relevant products to include (or exclude) in your back-order settings, then click Save. Once saved, you also need to Activate back-orders and wait for the process to finish. This may take a few minutes depending on your product catalog size.

The back-order status badge should be green and say Active once everything is done processing.

Custom Theme

If you're still not seeing Early Bird appear, you may have a custom theme, or one which isn't fully supported out of the box. This is no problem though; simply reach out to us via the support beacon and we can connect up your theme with a no-code solution.

For developers or more advanced users, you can connect Early Bird to your theme using the advanced Custom selectors section on the Settings page. This allows you to indicate specific selectors to use to find elements on your theme pages.
