How do I send a pre-order delayed email to my Shopify customers who have placed a pre-order?
If you've encountered unexpected delays with your pre-orders and need to inform your Shopify customers, follow these steps to send a pre-order delayed email to those who have placed pre-orders:
Draft Your Pre-Order Delay Email:
In the Early Bird app, go to Email Templates and fill out the Pre-order delayed email. You can either use the template provided, or paste your own HTML code under the Template tab.
If you'd like to tailor your pre-order delayed email to specific campaigns, we recommend you export a list of customers who have placed a pre-order, and upload to your email marketing platform instead.
Otherwise, you can also simply update Early Bird's pre-order delayed email template each time.
Update Your Delayed Fulfillment Date:
After you have drafted your email, visit the pre-order campaign with the product(s) that you've encountered unexpected delays.
Update the Expected fulfillment date under Pre-order fulfillment.
Notify Your Customers:
Once you have updated the Expected fulfillment date and saved the settings, you should see a banner pop-up above your real-time reporting dashboard.
Click on Update orders and notify customers and Early Bird will update all the associated pre-orders and notify the relevant customers for you.
