How do I export a list of my Shopify customers who have signed up for a back-in-stock notification?

"We want to email customers who have signed up for back-in-stock notifications (restock alerts) via our own CRM. How can we export a list of all these people from Shopify?"


Note: You can capture unlimited email sign-ups using our Early Bird app, even on the Free Plan. We only limit the number of back-in-stock emails you send via our app as there's a cost associated to it. You can export all the email sign-ups to your own CRM and email customers for free.

Exporting a List of Your Shopify Customers Who Have Signed Up for a Back-In-Stock Notification


  1. To export a list of customers who have signed up for a back-in-stock notification, go to your Customers page in the Shopify admin


  2. Click "Add Filter"

  3. Select "Customer tags"

  4. Select 'Back in stock' and apply the filter

  5. Now the list of customers who have the 'Back in stock' tag are ready to be exported.

    (It only shows 1 customer in the screenshot below as it's taken from our test store.)

  6. Upload the file to your CRM and email your customers that your product(s) has been restocked.
